Clarification
Today at 2PM at Mister Tramps.
Need the following items:
Yesterday's newspaper (today's if there is anything about the cuts)
Yesterday's Educate Austin flyer
AASL and/or TASL elevator speech/talking points (we don't want to have to recreate the wheel)
AISD Librarian directory
If several people bring a computer that would be great too.
Leave a comment if you are able to attend, not necessary, but it would be nice to know.

Let's Meet
Sorry folks for the delay, I originally planned to come home for lunch on Friday to compose post and it got too busy.
I would like to propose that we get together this weekend: either today sometime or tomorrow? I only have one obligation tomorrow at 4:30.
I would like to suggest 2PM at Mister Tramps on 183 and Payton Gin Road(Target parking lot- http://www.mistertramps.com ) I suggest this place because they have a back room that we can use. It is easy access off of 183. I am sorry it is so far North.

I will be moving this venue to a wiki so that we can post documents and such.
Until then my cell is 512-663-0335
------------------------------------------------
Concerns over Monday's meeting-
I have heard that Barton Hill's parents and staff are planning on meeting at 6AM on Monday at the CAC to sign up. There are only 30 spots!
My understanding is that the proposal that is going to the board is 1 librarian per 3 schools. Which translates to approximately 35 librarians being laid off!
-----------------------------------------------------
This is larger than our district, we need to contact city, state, and national officials. It needs to come from the people.
SEE YOU @ 2PM!

Still finding our way!
We still have not found our voice here on the blog, bare with us as we explore different topics.
Update: In response to Kevin's last post about GMAT, what he didn't tell you is that he scored a perfect score on the written portion. True he didn't score where he wanted on the other portions. That's okay, some poeple are just not test takers. But the important thing is that Texas State University now has a new MBA student. Congratulations, Kevin!
We posted a brief outline of our trip to the East Coast on Facebook, but will go into more detail of all the trip in the next post.
Everyone have a great and safe 4th of July.
